Burwood Library is taking part in a new project in partnership with the State Library of NSW and Transport for NSW, to better understand perceptions of safety and find practical solutions that help women, girls and gender-diverse people feel safer when visiting the library.
Visitors are being asked to complete a short survey about their experiences in library spaces including when walking, riding and getting public transport to and from the library, to better understand the factors that impact their sense of safety. The answers provided will guide practical solutions to help all visitors feel safer and more welcome.
This project is funded through the Safer Cities program, an initiative led by Transport for NSW, and delivered in partnership with State Library of NSW.
